The TRE® Workshop
Shake off your Stress!
Perhaps your emotions are getting the better of you, anger, regret, stuck grief, anxiety or depression are not moving through you, but sticking around and feeling fixed.
Maybe you are experiencing tension in your body: muscle tightness; chronic tension and/or pain; fixed postural positions; or limitations of scar tissue from old injuries or surgeries.
You might be waking in the morning with a mind full of racing thoughts; maybe you’re having panic attacks, insomnia, racing heart, shortness of breath and/or digestive problems.
Or perhaps you seek body-based support to recover from stressful work environments; sports and fitness training; or one or more direct or vicarious life traumas.
You might like another tool for managing coping skills around stressful events, like dentistry, studying for an exam, giving a speech or being in challenging family situations.
Or you might be looking for a body based avenue to mindfulness; a new way to tap into your creativity; or improve your relationships.
Learning TRE® can help
The TRE® Workshop invites you to join me in person to learn how to use the powerful healing practices of TRE® to elicit your body’s own natural neurogenic tremor response.
You might recall a time when you had to speak in front of a crowd and your hands were shaking; maybe you found yourself shaking after an accident; or you’ve noticed your dog shaking during a thunderstorm. We shake with excitement, we shake with anger, we shake with grief. We shake after a challenging workout. This shaking or trembling is part of a body’s healing response to stress and/or trauma. We learn in our culture that shaking or trembling is a “problem to be diagnosed, fixed, and treated.” Sometimes it is, but oftentimes our conditioning teaches us it’s a problem. In TRE® we view this tremor response as an automatic function of your nervous system in response to stress that is healing! Your body has the built in recovery response to your tension and stress, and it can show up as shaking, trembling, temperature changes, stretches and other movements. We’ll work together using the latest neuroscience in TRE® to create a safe enough container for you to experience this tremor response in a non-distressed state, releasing habitual contraction patterns in your body.
Your body is made, not only to experience stress and trauma, but to heal and resolve the effects of excessive tension in your bodymind. When your body is more settled, your mind settles, and your thoughts about what you are feeling do not pierce your peace and ease.
In these sessions, we will explore a variety of ways to stop, start, and relate to your TRE® response including: mindfulness and breathing practices; TRE® exercises; and yoga postures, practices and wellness applications, as desired. We’ll use a variety of props to support, move, or slow your TRE® experience. The TRE® Workshop can be offered with or without yoga, it’s up to you!
The TRE® Workshop provides a small healing container to invite more safety in order to enhance your healing potential.

As Your TREⓇ provider
My intention is to offer learning and healing experiences that demonstrate equity and inclusion for all human bodies, hearts, and minds. To guide experiences of learning that are co-created and heart centered. To invite individuals to use their own discernment and knowing to make choices that best meet their needs.
Certified TREⓇ Provider
I’m a certified TREⓇ provider (Tension & Trauma Release Exercise). I studied TREⓇ with Jay Gleason MS, LCMHC, LADC of Burlington, VT, and have assisted at his TRE® provider Level 1 & 2 certification training programs. I continue my trauma studies with the works of Stephen Porges, Peter Levine, Deb Dana, Bessel Van Der Kolk, Resmaa Menakem, David Berceli et. al.
Seven years ago I joined my first TRE® group class as a participant to bring more ease into my life experiences living with complex PTSD. TRE® has helped bring more balance and healing to my body. And, since tremoring regularly, my incidences of chronic pain (back & neck), irritable bowel, sleep disturbances, and anxiety, all of which interfered with my ability to work and thrive, have been significantly reduced. Because it has been such a positive experience for me personally, I remain committed to offering TRE® to people as an affordable and accessible strategy for recovery, reducing pain, stress, and the symptoms of stress and trauma.
Experienced Yoga Instructor & Personal Trainer
I have been teaching Hatha Yoga and Yin yoga since 2017. I’m a 500 E-RYT Certified Hatha Yoga teacher, and I also bring 20 years of Personal Training experience, specializing in pre & post rehabilitative work, to my yoga instruction. I hold a Personal Training certification through the American Council on Exercise and am a Balanced Body pilates instructor. I Graduated University of Vermont, Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Psychology and Sociology.
Working with people suffering from pain and injury calls me to continually increase my knowledge of the body and its makeup. I’ve completed additional studies in anatomy with the Mount Sinai Hospitals FAMI program. In addition, I’ve taken advanced anatomy studies with Ellen Saltonstall, and have concluded many Cross Country Education modules including rotator cuff therapeutics, spine & back care, osteoporosis, and osteopenia.
I continue my studies in Anatomy Trains fascia programs; Trauma Informed Weightlifting with the Center for Embodiment and Trauma at JRI (Justice Reinvestment Initiative) and am currently undertaking Essentials of Elite Performance with Z-health’s neurocentric (brain based) education for movement professionals. I am CPR certified with the American Heart Association. My yoga teachers include my guru Dr. Kavitha Chinnaiyan, and Todd Norian. I study the works of and have practiced with Michelle Cassandra Johnson; Christopher Hareesh Wallis; William K. Mahoney; and many more.

Yoga is not inherent to TRE®. I can offer this workshop in the TRE® format in which I trained, that does not include yoga. I also offer a TRE® & Yoga workshop for those interested in how yoga can support you in this work.
TRE® was developed during a war time experience, thus the word trauma in the title. Also the word tension. Tension is part of living life under gravity and having a body! You don’t need to identify with trauma in any way to benefit from this practice. You have a body, and all bodies pulsate, shake, tremor (what happens when you get cold?). And when we limit these experiences we lose the benefit of shaking and vibrating. If you could use more ease in your life, your body, your mind then TRE® can benefit you!
Still Not sure?
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.I am not here to put a hard sell on you, I’m here to help you find ease and calm!
All questions are welcome. Happy to coordinate a 20-minute meet and greet with you!
